Gérer un domaine ou encore déjouer les plans du dangereux Aspic d'Anjou sont autant de responsabilités inattendues que se voit confier la petite Aliénor d'Aquitaine. Avant d'être la mère de Richard Coeur de Lion et du Prince Jean, Aliénor d'Aquitaine est la fille d'un seigneur intrépide qui l'abandonna pour guerroyer en Terre Sainte.. Leur domaine est alors confié à la bellemère d'Aliénor qui ne tarde pas à s'enfuir dans les bras d'un troubadour ; ainsi qu'à son oncle, bientôt victime d'un accident de chasse.. Autrement dit, la gestion du domaine ne repose plus désormais que sur les menues épaules d'Aliénor…
